Vines

There are few gardens that are not enhanced by some type of climbing plant. Vines are useful to screen an undesireable view or provide shade and are also useful in small-space gardens where vertical gardening may be neccessary. At Boxhill Farm, we carry a wide variety of climbing plants, including the porcelainberry vine, pictured here, which sports beautiful fall color with red stems and bright blue berries that persist into winter. Passionflower, surprisingly hardy in our Pacific Northwest climate if moderately protected, Chilean jasmine, a scented treat when twined around your porch rail, as well as hardy kiwi vines, winter honeysuckles, clematis and grape are just some of our other popular varieties.
